About the Articles and our Authors and our remit
The site is filled with articles written and contributed by people from all walks of life and all types of business, including articles published in the hard copy editions of Wising UP!
Whether you are self employed, a new employee, an experienced manager or a business owner this site should have something to interest you. There is no fee to use this site and we do not pay our authors for their generous contributions – our contributors all believe that the best way for businesses to thrive is to seek and share knowledge, freely – which is what our site is all about
The original articles were all vetted before publication, here. Whilst in this format we have slightly less control over posts and content – articles are still subject to moderation so contributors taking advantage of our open contribution system, to post abusive or offensive material will be banned (Note we have an IP aware system) !
Articles that we welcome may include information about products and services that the authors endorse, subscribe to, or provide – but, where that is the case, it should be obvious from the context and presentation of the article. We prefer, encourage and will promote articles that are more general in their nature and we are happy for the authors’ details and contact information to be included as a thank you for the contribution – with a brief summary of their business and links where appropriate.
Our generous sponsors, advertisers and affiliate links are what support this site and its staff – so please feel free to wander off the site through any of the links we have provided. We have tried to find links and advertisers that are appropriate to the content – if you find that any of our links have been suborned or lead to sites that are inappropriate and offensive – please notify our staff immediately and the link will be removed or corrected.
Whilst we are not actively seeking Advertising or Sponsorship for this site – we are always pleased to discuss proposals that will enhance the service we give to our visitors
